- coffee. every day. at least twice a day.
- throwing toilet paper in the trash can. (this one could get messy once i am readjusting)
- my water bottle is my lifeline, teeth brushing, drinking...i can't go anywhere without it
- no carpet. the closest i came was the little square outside my shower. gross.
- beds that break. i think my total may be around 5.
- chuchos (street dogs) everywhere. they are so ugly....they are cute
- math. i have to divide by 8 in order to convert to US dollars
- beans, rice and tortillas
- more tortillas
- pop in a bag. that's right. it is soooo much more fun
- unreliable internet source
- fleas. yes, humans can get them too.
- living with a family of seven or more.
- walking. i now understand the term "uphill bothways"
- the faces of my 14 other gringos
- water-pressure-less showers. the less the pressure, the hotter the water.
- an alarm at 6:55am every morning, breakfast at 7
- greeting everyone on the street-regardless of if you know them
- fireworks at all hours of the day
- every single person on the street has machetes
- being known as a "gringa"
- no airconditioning
- roosters who don't know what time of day it is
- no cold (good) milk
- do not have the right away when crossing the street
- chicken buses, the ride of your life
- loud off-tune singing
- lots and lots of laughter and love
- spanish
- more love.
i travel not to go anywhere, but to go. i travel for travel's sake.
the great affair is to move.
